The groups of photos below are portraits that I shot of four of my friends.  I wanted to capture their wonderful and unique personalities through the photos (and there's also a little description of each of them to go along with their portraits).  Enjoy!!

Amanda:

Amanda is always upbeat and positive, no matter what life throws at her.  She accepts people for who they are and gives everyone the benefit of the doubt.  She has a great fashion sense and a style that’s her own.  There are parts of her appearance that she is very self-conscious about.  She told me that she used to let those insecurities affect her, but then she realized that instead of stressing over the things she couldn’t control, she should take advantage of the things she can control, i.e. the way she dresses.  Her creativity shines through her style, and her sincerity and kindness shine through her smile.

Clio:

Clio’s smile could brighten a room.  Her energy is positive and her laugh is genuine.  She has a funny mix of personalities—she says she is “mature yet childish, serious but joyful, shy but talkative.”  She puts passion and dedication into everything she does, from school to sports.  She knows when to take life seriously and when to laugh at it.  She is weird and strange in the best possible way.

Hadjira:

Hadjira is the life of the party to say the least.  She always knows how to have fun and enjoy life.  She is passionate about music, from playing her cello to going to dubstep concerts.  Hadjira is also the most amazing friend I have ever had.  She is a great listener and always tells me what I need to hear.  She is compassionate and understanding, and always knows how to lift my spirits and make me laugh until I cry.  She is always herself, and she is always wonderful.

Emilee:

Emilee is a silly redhead who is not afraid to be herself.  Sometimes she is insecure about the way she looks, but I think she is beautiful, from her big blue eyes to her pale freckled legs.  She is the funniest person I know and even though she makes me mad sometimes, she can always manage to make me laugh.  Even though she jokes around a lot, she is also thoughtful and insightful.  She has her own opinions but is always willing to hear what other people have to say.  She is most in her element when she is dancing—she says it lets her escape from reality for a little while.
